Fatal Collision Involving Punjab Chief Minister’s Convoy Sparks Police Investigation:
A tragic incident occurred when a collision between a car belonging to the protocol squad of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and a motorbike resulted in the death of the motorcyclist. The young man’s body was promptly transferred to DHQ Hospital following the accident.
Narowal Police have taken a stand on the matter, shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the youth’s death in the collision with the car from Maryam Nawaz’s protocol and security convoy. According to DPO Shakargarh, the collision occurred as the elite car attempted to overtake the motorbike. Following a thorough investigation, legal action will be pursued against those found responsible, regardless of their status or affiliation.
In response to the incident, police have initiated legal proceedings against the unidentified driver of the government vehicle, based on the claim filed by the deceased youth’s cousin. Case number 359/24 under section 322 has been formally registered at Sadar Police Station, indicating the commencement of an official investigation into the tragic collision.
